Investment Treaty Protection

Representing clients in investment distputes since 2001

For more than 15 years I have worked at the DC office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP representing clients in dispute resolution of complex commercial and investor state disputes.  I have served as counsel in international and domestic arbitrations before major arbitral institutions.  I have advised investors and governments on issues of investment treaty protection. I have represented clients in federal and state courts.  The disputes have involved wide range of industries and matters such as: mining concessions, transportation, management agreements, electricity, construction, intellectual property right, satellite.

In starting my own practice, I strive to bring my big law experience and skills and deliver the same quality services to mid-size and small businesses, entrepreneurs, families and individuals.  My approach and strategy is simple:  to listen to the client, to understand their business or personal objectives and to deliver cost effective and efficient resolutions to their legal issues.  As a seasoned litigator, I understand that litigation is stressful and costly distraction to people’s businesses and lives.  My first priority is to work with clients to achieve alternative resolution of their disputes.  When litigation becomes unavoidable, I work with clients to minimize the disruption it can cause on their businesses and lives with the goal of achieving effective, speedy and cost-efficient resolution of the dispute.
